Title: VP Product Core Capabilities Product vision and strategy: Develop a strategic understanding of our business, target markets, and evolving trends to inform product vision and strategy. Creating a compelling data-driven product strategy that delivers innovative experiences to customers through the lens of the insurance industry. Partner with senior executives to translate company vision into a supporting product vision and strategy that the organization can align to Actively communicate the product vision and strategy to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners Drive alignment and priorities. Work effectively with cross-functional teams to gain alignment between across product and tech strategy and work with product and engineering teams to harness their expertise to deliver an exceptional product experience. Evaluate product portfolio against current market dynamics and explore additional opportunities for new pricing strategies, platform consolidation/integrations, and feature enhancements. Curious and highly analytical, adept at using data to uncover hidden customer needs and deeply understand key business drivers. Build a culture of customer & user advocacy across the development process – guiding the products, design, usability, and functionality. Product roadmap: Comfort juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong bias for action; Be self-directed and able to move forward in any level of ambiguity/environment. Collaborate with internal departments such as Sales, Professional Services and Support to ensure prioritized needs of customers are accounted for within the roadmap Develop and execute product governance model that manages changes to the product roadmap Support and foster a Lean product organization, leveraging a fail fast approach to ensure Product Managers are rapidly testing, learning, and iteratively building in value Develop a data-driven culture within Product Management, one that uses data and analytics to inform decision making at all stages of the product life cycle Prioritizing focused value delivery. Developed, designed, and implemented across a portfolio of products and markets that are directly aligned with business goals, backed by robust data and research.   People Strategy & Collaboration Serve as a model and leader in partnering activities with Engineering, Design, Product Operations, helping build an aligned, high-performing Product Engineering organization. Drives collaboration with teams across key stakeholders around the organization, including executives, sales, engineering, marketing, customer service, and support teams to align product vision, strategy, and roadmaps to deliver on business objectives. Build robust, cross-functional partnerships across the organization and at multiple levels; be seen as a true servant leader and business partner Reinforce company values and culture in day-to-day behaviors, management style, and expectations of team Hire, lead, and develop a high performing, passionate team of Product Managers; model and teach Product Management best practices to your team while supporting their personal growth. Inspire leadership skills development with a passion for coaching and professionally developing people. Proven excellence in leading a diverse, functional, and globally-dispersed team in high-impact initiatives that deliver meaningful business results. History managing the entire product lifecycle while working closely with engineering teams. You and your team will define requirements, build roadmaps, measure KPIs, do data analysis, and oversee the product lifecycle from inception to end of life. Own the results and roadmap that drives the overall customer experience. Ideal Candidate 10 years of product management experience in best-in-class SaaS environment(s), B2B SaaS preferred 3 years of experience building, leading, and managing high performance Product Management teams; must be passionate about growing and developing people Demonstrable experience leading and working with partner organizations and executive leadership in the development of product vision and strategy Demonstrated ability to proactively drive portfolio and investment decisions with senior stakeholders, balancing customer needs, strategic innovation, and necessary technical work Strong skills and experience in discipline of Product Management, with true passion for achieving excellence in Product Management through adoption of industry best practices Track record of organizational leadership; strong relationship development skills with a wide variety of audiences across all functions, ability to manage highly competent people to high levels of performance, and ability to establish effective and efficient project management processes Experience successfully scaling and transforming Product Management organizations a significant plus Other Requirements: Travel: 30-50% Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
