Safety and Security Specialist, 40 hours
Duffy Health Center is a patient-centered medical home, and every role requires functioning effectively using a team-based approach.
We seek an exceptional person to join our team! The Safety and Security Specialist promotes the mission of Duffy Health Center by supporting a trauma-informed, calm environment to help ensure the safety and security of clients and staff within and outside the facility. The SSS will provide a compassionate and welcoming presence primarily in the health center reception area while interacting with and assisting patients and visitors.
The position is ‘the face of Duffy” and one which requires superb people skills, judgement, and the ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team members. The SSS will independently interact and establish a positive rapport with a culturally diverse population that may be experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders and mental illness. Evidence-based training will be provided; experience with vulnerable and marginalized persons is preferred.
Education and Licenses Required
A candidate for this position must have a High School diploma. Education or experience in the human services field preferred.
Bi-lingual in Portuguese preferred.
