Analytical Technician, GMP Analytical Team

Role Description:
The GMP Analytical Team at DHVI is seeking a colleague who will execute activities to support environmental monitoring of the cGMP facility to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations as well as microbiological testing, e.g., bioburden, for protein and RNA vaccine products. Additionally, the candidate will assist in the smooth running of the analytical laboratory and support procurement, inventory management equipment maintenance and shipping activities. The ability to execute and document analytical activities in a regulatory compliant manner is essential.
Responsibilities:
Collect environmental monitoring samples including particulate, viable surface and air samples and utilities, e.g., Water for Injection, and perform microbial testing and species identification.
Execute microbiological assays for bioburden analysis of protein and RNA vaccine candidates for lot release.
Assist in the day-to-day operations within the Analytical Laboratory including procurement of supplies and inventory management, scheduling equipment qualification and maintenance activities and coordination of biological shipments.
Perform verification of data and be able to draw conclusions regarding progress and results of work, utilizing the data in appropriate decision making.
Operate in a GMP regulated environment, follow departmental SOPs and Regulatory guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
AS/BS degree with 2 years of relevant industry experience preferred with a focus on environmental monitoring and microbiological methods
Knowledge and hands-on experience performing microbiological assays is preferred (experience with rapid microbial methods utilizing the Growth Direct® platform is a plus).
Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting analytical problems.
Proven ability to generate high quality data and documentation within challenging time lines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training: Work generally requires a bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related field.
Experience: None required above education/training requirement. Prefer up to two years of laboratory experience, preferably in a GMP/regulated environment. A related master's degree may substitute for two years of experience.
