Role Objective

Dumont JETS is currently seeking a full-time Flight Operations Coordinator for our Charter division who will be based in our New Castle, DE location.

Essential Job Functions

  • Evaluate aircraft needs for the upcoming 48 hours, assign crew based on position and current location, and arrange any necessary transportation of crew to the assigned aircraft
  • Communicate trip information and changes via oral and written communication in a professional and timely manner
  • Support flight crew with travel and flight schedule assistance
  • Review schedules frequently to ensure regulatory compliance and spot potential conflicts
  • Maintain an awareness of fleet movements by following flight information
  • Provide excellent customer service through prompt communication and attention to detail
  • Adhere to all federal and company policies
  • Follow through with other coordination assignments as needed

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Constantly operates a telephone requiring oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication
  • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently
  • Ability to move from department and buildings to interact with others

Required Education/Experience

  • 5 years’ experience in Part 135 operations preferred
  • Prior aviation/flight operations coordinator experience required
  • College degree preferred
  • Prior work experience in deadline driven logistics preferred
  • Must pass background check
  • Ability to work offsite on call during nights, weekends, and/or holidays on a rotating schedule
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Knowledge or experience in the aviation industry a plus

Work Authorization

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
