The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the biweekly payroll processing of multiple companies processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. 


  

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for multiple companies including but not limited to verifying hours, retro pay; processing benefit deductions; bonus payouts; direct deposit, saving payroll reports; conduct post      payroll audit through Paylocity platform
  • Review and adjust time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
  • Accurately set up wage garnishment deductions and internal A/R deductions 
  • Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies timely and with accuracy
  • Process stop payments and reissues of lost payroll checks/pay cards and direct deposit reversals; 
  • Review "Timecard Review" dashboard for errors and make corrections
  • Release benefit enrollments to carriers through BSwift to ensure deductions are appropriately applied to employee records
  • Benefit deduction audit to carrier invoicing to include biweekly 401(k) deposit reconciliation with carrier
  • Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
  • Provide exceptional customer service 


Requirements

  

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience processing payroll
  • Strong Technical - Experience with HRIS/Payroll Systems - Paylocity a plus
  • Good communication skills
  • Organizational skills, ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, and detail orientation are also required.
  • Proficient in MS Office
