Position:

Dunn Utility Products, a Byram, MS-based concrete pipe and precast producer, is seeking an experienced Estimator. This position reports to the Sales Manager. This position is available in either New Albany or Byram, Mississippi.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Quantify products that we can produce based on the plans furnished.
• Build accurate quotes based on structured pricing.
• Maintain a bid calendar and stay ahead of all bid dates and desired time frames for project bidding
• Closely communicate with the sales team for market information and direction.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Perform detailed takeoff of storm and sewer-related products.
• Accurately quantify and gather all needed information to produce quality detailed quotes.
• Keep up with and ensure all bid dates/deadlines are met.
• Work closely with the sales team and management to develop and operate within the pricing schemes in different markets.
• Communicate with production and inventory managers to help maximize the efficiency of resources.
• Keep up with all data needed as directed by leadership to properly manage our business.
• Cross-train with other positions within the sales and project management team to help build bench strength.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Experience reading civil site plans.
• Above-average computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams
• AutoCAD/Inventor experience is not required but would be a plus.
• Task-driven with good time management skills and discipline.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
