Dura-Bond Pipe MRO Buyer
Dura-Bond Steelton is looking for a purchasing professional willing to learn new things and assist in improving current purchase order processes, inventory control, and warehouse practices.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience buying the following types of goods and services: mechanical components, weldments, machined components and assemblies, hydraulic components, hydraulic cylinders, gear cutting, grinding, plating, heat treating, etc...
Candidate must have experience with interpretation of technical documentation, with a strong mechanical blueprint reading background. Candidates should be willing and able to learn and develop in all these areas and other related MRO disciplines.

Salary Range: Hourly $ 26.50 (with final pay negotiable based on experience)
Monday - Friday schedule with overtime and some Saturday shifts required.

Responsibilities
- Works with multiple vendors to determine best deals for the company based on price, quality, speed of delivery among other factors.
- Research, evaluate and buy parts for the company to be used in everyday operations as well as in repairs needed.
- Purchases complex and technical or specialized equipment, materials or services specifically designed and manufactured to meet Dura-Bond’s needs and specifications.
- Negotiate pricing, shipping, and warranties with vendors.
Qualifications or Minimum Requirements
- Must have proven blueprint reading skills with ability to review received machined part against a blueprint, schematic, or written specification.
- Must be extremely proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite, or any other ERP system preferred; but not required.
- Associates Degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing setting is preferred; but not required.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs., twist and turn, kneel, and stand for long periods of time, climb a ladder, and work overhead as required.
- This is permanent direct hire position; all considered applicants must pass background and substance screening.
