Job Summary:
To receive raw materials and ship products efficiently and safely in order to meet established delivery times as well as process and put away all production finished goods.
Responsibilities:
  • Appropriately document knowledge of and/or participation in all systems, procedures, projects, investigations, rules of thumb, preventive measures, AQP, EQD’s, IQD’s and SQD’s. Reference item documented to concerned parties via email and/or weekly minutes.
  • Participate in and/or respond to AQP (Advanced Quality Planning) team investigations, JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) and EH&S (Environment, Health and Safety) inspections.
  • Practice continuous improvement strategies while continually monitoring shipping activities in order to maintain on time delivery.
  • Perform cycle count of finished goods.
  • Pick orders from the night before and perform put away in mezzanine.
  • Perform pick up of finished goods from all departments and also put away process of production finished goods from the night before.
  • Pick orders for truckloads, LTL shipments, large cartons, container shipments in the staging area / load trucks.
  • Perform PO Receipts.
  • Material handling includes unloading and loading of stock, raw material and scrap.
  • Ensure that stacking heights of cartons on the racking system are compliant with the fire & safety code.
  • Ensure Trailer Restraints/Wheel Chocks/Trailer Jacks are used when loading and unloading.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing warehouse environment
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Forklift certified required
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
  • Understand thoroughly the production processes trained in including the capability of the tools, equipment and machinery utilized in its support.
  • Be physically capable of handling materials weighing up to 150 lbs. with the proper lifting devices.
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) along with the use of a calculator.
