What are the responsibilities and job description for the BILLING COORDINATOR position at DuraMed?
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Daily Deliveries, reconcile logs with documentation received from drivers.
- Assist with billing Home Medical Equipment
- Answer phones and assist patients with payment balances.
- Contact insurance companies, physician offices and hospitals to obtain required medical documentation, prescriptions and authorizations.
- Communicate with hospitals for discharge information.
- Contact customers for current insurance information.
- Generate Primary and Secondary Bills.
- Perform other departmental duties as assigned
Qualifications: Previous experience with DME, ICD10 codes, physician office and/or insurance office experience is helpful.
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with insurance EOBs, payments and denials is helpful.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
