We are hiring a 2nd Shift Assistant Team Leader for the Final Inspection Department!
The Final Inspection Assistant Team Leader directs and coordinates work flow, and processes and procedures in the Inspection department. Assists and trains employees with process and equipment issues. Practices lean manufacturing and implements new procedures. Monitors consistency and accuracy of team members’ production and processes and carries out team leader responsibilities in the absence of the Inspection Area Team Leader in accordance with the organization’s policies.
- Schedules what associates will be working on based on customer needs.
- Organizes and leads employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frame, ensuring time is used efficiently.
- Assists in the establishment of work priorities in conjunction with the team leader; receives assignments from team leader, assigns work to team members, and ensures completion with minimal errors.
- Practices lean methods to achieve process improvement within the department.
- Monitors companywide inspection and packaging requirements and provides feedback to team members on how to improve performance.
- Balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views, contributes to building a positive team spirit, and is able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
- Assists team members in resolving on-the-job technical problems.
- Prepares shift status reports addressing subjects such as production issues, employee issues, improvement suggestions, etc. to the team leader.
- Refers problems involving job discipline to team leader for handling.
- Enforces and complies with all company policies and procedures including established safety policies.
- Performs duties of the Inspection Area Team Leader in their absence.
- Informs the trainer of additional training needs as identified.
- Practices lean methods to achieve process improvement within the department.
