Electrical Assembler

Description

The duties for this position will include but are not limited to reading blueprints, work orders, job travelers and routers. Assembly of electrical panels per blueprint specifications or schematic. May perform tasks conducted by the assembly team not related to electrical panel.

REPORTING STRUCTURE AND KEY RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports To:  Assembly Department Lead

 PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read schematics and follow assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
• Assemble, wire, install electrical panels.
• Work with electrical engineers in problem-solving solutions relating to assembly process and functioning of panels and components.
• Rotate through all tasks required in machinery production processes.
• Report problems with quality, process, equipment and material to supervisor.
• Troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical problems.
• Correctly complete all relevant paperwork.
• Operate a forklift.
• Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve assembly challenges.
• Work efficiently while safely producing high quality parts.
• Maintain a high standard of workplace cleanliness.

Qualifications

Education:  High School Diploma / Equivalency / Electronics training preferred 

Experience:  2 years’ experience in electrical assembly. Experience with electrical, switches, hydraulics, and pneumatics preferred.

• Travel not usually required but may on occasion.
• Must have flexible schedule including some weekends.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, kneel and crawl. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms, and do repetitious turning and twisting with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

Work environment includes manufacturing.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

Must pass post-offer background check, drug screen, agility test, and physical prior to employment.
