What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer position at Durham Academy?
Durham Academy is accepting applications for a part-time Certified Athletic Trainer for the 2022-2023 school year. Qualified applicants will provide athletic training services to student-athletes at Durham Academy Middle School in collaboration with the head athletic trainer. This part-time position of 20-30 hours/week will begin August 22, 2022.

Athletic Director & Head Athletic Trainer
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree from CAATE accredited program.
Experience: at least one year of clinical experience, middle or high school experience preferred.
Certificate/License: Must be BOC certified and possess or be in the process of acquiring licensure from the state of North Carolina.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job will require physical and time demands standard of athletic training. Some night and weekend work will be required.
DUTIES:
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Provide athletic training services for the middle school teams as supervised by the head athletic trainer. Provide services at the Upper School as needed.
2. Act as liaison between family physicians and specialists, the school, athletes and their parents.
3. Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments and pre-participation exams.
4. Assist the athletic director as requested.
