Summary

This full-time position is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day Human Resource functions.

Essential Job Functions

  • Handles application and assessment process screening, and schedules pre-employment screening appointments.
  • Perform HRIS data entry (Paycom) and personnel file maintenance.
  • Assist employees, managers, directors, and owners with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate new-employee orientations, onboarding and off-boarding, and documentation for all locations.
  • Efficiently maintain confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
  • Prepare and remove all job postings (WordPress and Website),
  • Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Assist the manager/ director with HR projects and all filings.
  • Maintain HR calendar

Preferred Education and/or Experience

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college; or at least one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Courses completed in the area of Business Administration and/or HR preferred.

Computer Skills

Familiar with MS Windows operating systems and MS Office applications. At a minimum, intermediate-level skills in Excel and Word. Experience with QuickBooks required.

Language Skills

Ability to read and effectively interpret documents and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and accounting skills.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk, hear, bend, and stoop.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, regular position. Core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel

Limited travel to various satellite worksites may be required.

Complete and maintain Harassment Prevention Training

Complete and maintain Mandated Reporter Certificate

Salary

$22.00 to $25.00 hr.
