French Teacher

Position Description

Serving approximately 190 students in pre-kindergarten through the eighth-grade, Dutchess Day School is seeking an experienced, full-time French teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will lead foreign language instruction with enthusiasm, passion for French culture, and teach primarily in the target language. This position includes French instruction in both the Lower (grades Pre-K - 4) and Upper (grades 5-8) Schools.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of teaching experience and a deep understanding of the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of elementary school students. A bachelor’s degree in education or related field is required and a master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and is motivated to work collaboratively within a robust teaching team.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
