Aerial Lineman
Job Posting for Aerial Lineman at DVM UTILITIES INC
Aerial telephone/cable lineman
- Install, upgrade, or eliminate aerial cables
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Complete work as directed by field supervisor.
- May provide instruction in training of less experienced lineman and ground-hands.
- Preventative inspections of equipment, including truck and trailer.
- Maintain clean and safe work site.
- Work safely.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications
- Able to safely operate aerial equipment, including bucket truck digger derrick and trailer
- Michigan CDL License, or ability to obtain one in timely manner
- Able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions
- Ability to work on call
- Proficient in fiber/cable installation, and pole transfers.
- Knowledge in building strand, lashing/over lashing, vertical grounds, and building and repairing aerial telecommunication lines
- Knowledge in placing new and replacing broken telephone poles and ground pedestals.
- Ability to read blue prints.
- Able to work and climb aloft at heights up to 35’.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Lineman: 1 year (Preferred)
- Groundman: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CDL A (Required)
