Tooling Maintenance Technician

Summary:
The Tooling Maintenance technician supports the Maintenance Department objectives by keeping production equipment operating effectively and efficiently. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all of his or her essential duties and responsibilities in a manner that upholds values, philosophies, and quality and safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform 20,000 shot PM inspection on Mold Tooling, Including breakdown, cleaning & greasing
- Analyze equipment failures, assist in determination of root causes and make necessary adjustments or repairs as instructed
- Maintain the cleanliness of work area
- Keep records of all day-to-day maintenance activities undertaken in the facility
- Report defects, damagers, and malfunctions to Maintenace Supervisor
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Maintenace preferred.
Experience: 3 years of related experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with 1 year of tool and die experience; Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC. Plastic injection molding experience is preferred.
Functional Competencies: Basic computer skills; strong written and oral communication skills; strong problem-solving skills; excellent technical knowledge; basic knowledge of industry OSHA requirements; strong basic knowledge of mold disassembly and general operation.
