Currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Hobby Airport location.
This exiting Role is for a mechanical engineer that will be in charge of the API multistage and booster pump packaging design.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Works in pairs with a design engineer that will be create 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Review job order scope to make sure it comply with standard practices.
- Validate component sizing.
- Review vendor drawings.
- Review design engineers BOMs, models and drawing for manufacturing
- Review Project customer deliverable drawings.
- Defining and update the Product standard practices and process for the packages.
- Work on cost reduction exercises

Qualifications of the Mechanical Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- 3 to 5 years knowledge of rotating equipment and fabricated pumping systems
- Must be able to work independently
- Well organized and self-motivated
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Project management experience and teamwork skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Project)
- Must have knowledge in SolidWorks software, AutoCAD preferred.
