Overview
The Regional Account Executive is accountable for achieving sales and sell-through goals. This role provides direction and leadership to territory representatives and specialists. They will also be empowered to make decisions within the region and on behalf of the region, in partnership with Director of National Accounts for the West region. In working with the Director of National Accounts, the Regional Account Executive will partner with store management and associates to elevate the David Yurman brand within the region and carry out key business initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manages an assigned grouping of 25 to 35 important account relationships as directed by the Executive Director of Sales and National Account Directors, with support from Sales Support Managers if warranted by size of account responsibility.
- Forecasts and reports projections for seasonal and monthly product needs. Tracks and reports sales performance and inventory stock. Monitors inventories and coordinates replenishment as needed.
- Personalizes store assortments based on individual store demographic. Understands and communicates the customer nuances unique to the region.
- Supervises orders to ensure proper delivery and proper merchandising of product. Ensures accounts adhere to brand visual standards and implements seasonal visual enhancements.
- Directs trunk shows and other special events at retail locations with support from the Promotions and Events Manager. Executes events seamlessly and drives follow up.
- Plans and implements Sales Associate training in coordination with the brand’s vision.
- Participates in planning for advertising and seasonal mailers and drives local marketing and PR initiatives.
- Visits retail accounts regularly to reinforce customer relationships. Gathers and communicates feedback from retail accounts regarding products. Negotiates product merchandising. Conducts product training to retail sales staff.
- Builds cross-departmental relationships and partners with management and visual in store to increase the brand presence and drive associates to sell David Yurman.
- Supervises DY Specialists within stores to provide guidance and direction on how to achieve monthly and seasonal sales plans. Strategizes directly with each Specialist to create monthly activations that drive sales.
Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of experience
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Work Experience: Wholesale and/or retail luxury goods sales background and experience managing sales support staff. Established contacts with major regional jewelers preferred.
- Must be willing to travel extensively.
- Possesses solid business acumen and well-versed in managing stock and sales plans.
- Excellent communication and follow through skills. Dynamic, energetic and passionate about selling and the David Yurman brand.
- Four year college degree; Degree in business or marketing is ideal.
