Package Designer / Graphic Designer

Due to the continued success of our in-house creative agency called Unhinged, we are in need of experienced creatives with a penchant for creative exploration in a entrepreneurial environment.

You will be primarily designing for brands in the cosmetic and self-care industries. Many of these products are being sold in nationwide stores like Sephora, Ulta, Target, and many more! You will be part of our team which is passionate about bringing unique concepts to life and watching them flourish!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and concept ideas
• Collaborate with team members and clients
• Preparing files for print and production
• Estimating project timeframes based on project details and resources
• Meeting client expectations & requirements
• Attend meetings as needed
• Assists team members with projects as needed
• Perform other work duties as required

Skills/Qualifications Required:

• Proven graphic designing experience
• Excellent sense of design, layout, typography, drawing, and lettering techniques.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interpret written copy into appropriate compositions and visuals
• Can professionally handle rejection
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign is a MUST)
• Understanding of, or ability to learn, art and print methods that relate to the organization’s product and packaging needs.
• Ability to work with either PC or Mac systems
• BONUS: Social Media or Web Experience
• BONUS: 3D or Animation experience

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required; BFA in Art, Graphic Arts, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a graphic design position.
• Project management and managerial experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to distinguish colors and shapes to design and oversee graphics.

Location:

• On-Site - Given the collaborative nature of the team, this is primarily an onsite position.
• Remote Work - Hybrid Remote options may be considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
