Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) is a proud Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business based in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area providing management consulting services to the Federal Government and organizations supporting federal agencies. With many years of public sector expertise, DIS offers client services and support in the areas of Strategic Communications and Integrated Marketing, Information Technology, and Enterprise Optimization.
DIS is currently seeking a Summer 2023 Communications, Research, and Program Analysis Intern to join our Strategic Communications and Integrated Marketing practice. The ideal candidate will be available between 30-35 hours per week in Summer 2023. Start and end dates are flexible. This is a fully remote, paid position available to all candidates in the contiguous United States.
The candidate's primary responsibility will be to support the team by performing communications research, analysis, data compilation and reporting, producing written reports, information papers, communications materials, and social media content.

Essential Duties:
- Research, analyze, and report on policies and other information sources related to client topics, issues, processes, and other areas.
- Help support the development of comprehensive website audit report and write content for websites and social media sites.
- Provide project and program team support to include assisting in the development of meeting agendas and drafting of meeting minutes.
- Generate creative and original ideas for reaching and engaging target audiences and communicating key messages. Assist with researching and developing media and partner outreach plans.
- Assist in tracking, creating materials and executing events.
- Assist with business development activities including formatting resumes and researching key topic areas.
Required Experience and Qualifications: 4
- Rising Junior, Senior, or recent graduate with a degree in communication, marketing, sociology, psychology, public relations, or a related field
- Prefer experience and/or interest in planning, developing, and implementing communications activities, including developing communication plans, strategies, messages, and tactics as part of outreach or education campaigns
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills
- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research and conducting data analysis and reporting
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Strong speaking and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
- The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard.
- Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
