This includes Torque Converters, Transmissions (Automatic, Manual, Hybrid models) and Transfer Case Assemblies. Our Organization started with a single retail facility and a dream. Our operations consist of almost a million square feet of floor space and 900 extremely talented employees encompassing turnkey operations from engineering, total machining operations, through assembly and dynamometer testing. One of the most trusted and leading tier-1 automotive manufacturers in the United States has created an opening for a strategic hands on Operations Manager with impeccable manufacturing technical skills to oversee the production responsibilities at one of Dynamic’s transmission facilities. One of our most profitable and busiest buildings. The ideal Operations Manager will have a strong understanding of information flow and product flow within a manufacturing environment. In addition to having a problem solving, go getter personality, the ideal candidate must be able to identify cost saving opportunities with respect to the operation and personnel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; - applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators. - Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. - Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. - Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. - Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. - Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. - Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests. - Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. - Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. - Maintains product and process data base by writing computer programs; entering data. - Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians. - Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. - Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. - Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations - Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards - Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping - Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results - Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus - Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions - Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff - Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime - Commit to plant safety procedures - Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets     QUALIFICATIONS:   - This position is open to individuals who have worked as a direct employee in a manufacturing site.
