What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Painter position at Dynamic Transit?
Dynamic Transit, a transportation and logistics company, is seeking a Full Time Painter to join our mechanic team in our Hazelwood shop.
Position Duties:
- Custom Paint for Peterbilt and Kenworth tractors
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying undercoats
- Mix and match paint colors using a paint code to achieve desired results
- Utilize power tools for sanding and buffing
- Use hand tools for detailed work such as trim and touch-ups
- Perform minor auto body repairs and address rust spots
- Handle auto glass removal and installation
Basic Qualifications (MINIMUM):
- Proven experience in auto body repair and painting
- Familiarity with mechanic work is a plus
- Experience in custom paint schemes preferred, but not required
- Experience in pinstripe paint work preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in using power tools for sanding and buffing
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures
- Ability to detail vehicles to a high standard
- Skilled in using hand tools for precise work
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
