Graphic Designer

Technology enabled direct mail agency currently seeking a Graphic Designer who has experience in designing direct mail advertising collateral with well-developed technical and artistic abilities. Looking for a team player to join our growing team that has a positive attitude, cool personality, and a passion for great design. Self-starters need only apply! This position will be designing direct mail advertising for both small as well as large national brands. We are located in San Marcos, CA which is just a 45-minute commute from Mission Valley and 15 minutes from the coast.

This is a full-time position with desirable work hours between 7:00am-3:30pm M-F.

Responsibilities

• Design direct mail collateral (mailers, flyers, business cards, etc.)
• Study design briefs and determine requirements
• Project completion according to specific timelines
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop creative designs using software
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each project
• Work with copywriters and/or creative director to produce final design
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• Prepare files and upload for publishing

Skills

• Min. of 2 years proven graphic design experience
• Adobe Suite Proficiency
• Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop) - 2 Years Required
• A strong portfolio of layout & design
• Experience with advertising postcard layouts
• Direct Marketing experience is a plus
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
• Pressero, Edoc and/or Web-to-print experience is a plus

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
