Job Description
The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for managing and overseeing the State’s SharePoint sites (public-facing and intranet). You will be part of a team responsible for maintaining the SharePoint environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide site content type management and add and customize web parts for agency customers.
Manage various site features such as group work lists, metadata navigation, and publishing in SharePoint 2019.
Installing the SharePoint platform, integrating applications, and creating libraries.
Adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions for other groups on this site’s level.
Manage content approval, check-out, and check-in, as well as versioning.
Create sub-sites and manage access to SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online components such as libraries, lists, etc.
Experience with SharePoint Designer at their disposal for any visual or functional site customization.
Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
Providing SharePoint support and end-user training.
Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
Reviewing usage and activity reports and making adjustments to ensure optimized user experiences.
Applying version updates and upgrades.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.
3 year experience as a SharePoint site administrator.
Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, Power APPS, PowerShell, and Office 365.
Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
Desired Or Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of developing client/server application programs using high-level or other generally accepted computer programming languages such as C#, Visual Basic, JavaScript, SQL
Skill using MS Visual Studio, SharePoint Developer, ASP.NET, MVC Framework, and MS SQL Server
Skill in designing relational databases
Skill in developing and maintaining change control practices for software applications and IT projects
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, managers, and customers.
