The Buyer II would be responsible for the procurement and sourcing of components, raw materials, equipment, and supplies to support manufacturing. As a Buyer II, you will perform the following duties:
- Determine source of supply by evaluating best price, availability, quality, and delivery
- Create purchase orders per requirements from MRP reports, re-order repoints and purchase order requisitions
- Follow-up and expedite orders
- Analyze and calculate the costs of procurement and suggest methods for cost savings and/or category improvement
- Actively research and develop new sources of supply and/or recommend possible substitute materials and/or suppliers
- Work daily with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Shipping and Operations to perform cost analysis and competitive sourcing events and head-to-head comparisons
- Evaluate and analyze vendor quotations and services
- Provide precise and interactive communication to business unit stakeholders
- Craft negotiation strategies and close contracts with optimal prices, terms, stocking programs, payment terms, transportation charges, return policies, etc.
- Assist in product development timelines to ensure an on-time production and delivery
- Learn and maintain a thorough knowledge of all product and service needs as well as stay apprised of industry developments

Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or equivalent experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Travel required up to 25%
