About this opportunity
The Solderer is generally involved in the complex rework of Printed Wiring Assemblies. The Solderer uses advanced equipment and techniques associated with tasks such as replacement of fine pitch components, Ball Grid Arrays, and the installation of fine hard wires. The Solderer is also responsible for related activities including (but not limited to) data collection, and completion of related documentation.
What you will do (Responsibilities)
- Locates assembly drawings, Engineering Change Orders, and work instructions.
- Completes Stock Transaction paperwork
- Reads and has a general understanding of assembly drawings, Engineering Changes Order and Work Instructions
- Performs complex repairs of Printed Wiring Boards as directed by troubleshoot.
- Performs complex engineering changes as directed by Engineering Change Orders.
- May require the use of automated soldering equipment and solder pots.
- Use computer programs to collect data about work performed.
- Completes required logs and associated forms.
You will bring (Qualifications)
- This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of three years' experience in a related production environment.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
- Must possess excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to effectively read, write, speak and comprehend English.
- Must possess basic computer knowledge with experience working in MS Windows environment.
- Must possess basic math skills
- Must be able to work overtime on short notice including nights, weekends and holidays when needed.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team orientated environment.
- Must be familiar with Workmanship Standard IPC-A-610C from both an inspection standpoint and possess skills to produce output consistent with IPC Class 2 workmanship.
- Color perception is necessary to perform certain critical aspects of the job.
- Must have vision corrected to a minimum of 20-25,
- Must have reasonable manual dexterity and be able to spend extended periods of time in a sitting or standing position.
- Position exposed to continuous, but OSHA acceptable levels of noise from computer and manufacturing equipment.
- Appropriate safety clothing and equipment required for use with hazardous equipment and work areas.
- Position subject to deadline pressure.
