Civil Project Engineer (Lincoln, NE)

Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Civil Engineer in our Lincoln office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of civil engineering experience. Additionally, this candidate will:

• Work on design projects for agency, public, and private clients
• Prepare plans, specifications, and design-related documents with the supervision and guidance of the project manager.
• Serve as a lead project engineer and advisor on complex projects, and leading the quality assurance/quality control for the team
• Prepare civil engineering design calculations, high-level technical designs, drainage reports, and cost estimates
• Work with city, county, and state regulatory or reviewing authorities identifying appropriate design criteria and limitation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related accredited engineering program
• Registered Professional Civil Engineer
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office & AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling, and presentation of results.
• Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Twelve years of progressively responsible experience
• Registered Professional Civil Engineer in the state of Nebraska
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HY-8, or related water modeling software
• Demonstrated experience with preparing proposals, project interview preparation and/or business development
