Purpose Summary:
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator that supports multi-office northern Indiana operations through the utilization of construction logistics software “XBE”; reviewing Job Production Plans (JPPs), tracking assets, analyzing data, and communicating performance improvement opportunities to construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with local Logistics Dispatchers to develop and maintain a network of trucking companies and owner operators.
- Assist with the negotiation of hourly and tonnage trucking rates.
- Review and assist in the implementation of Job Production Plans.
- Assist with the short and long term production plan scheduling needs, focusing on trucks, material and equipment to ensure all resource requirements are met.
- Assess scheduling needs around trucking and production requirements.
- Monitor trucking and production performance and efficiency through logistics software and provide feedback.
- Monitors active haul cycles through logistics software.
- Reviews / Analyzes daily haul costs.
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with editing JPP’s to increase efficiency.
- Promote and train field operations on Process Balance as supported in logistics software
- Assist with the setup of new projects in the logistics software, support field operations, and training of logistics software
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to engage with, and positively motivate delivery and plant teams on a daily basis.
- Assist with short and long term production plan scheduling needs, focusing on trucks, material, equipment, labor, and subcontractors to confirm all resource requirements can be met.
- Interfaces with production schedules to maximize truck utilization.
- Backup Logistics Dispatchers
Requirements:
- Minimum of (4 ) years Construction/Logistics experience.
- Significant understanding of scheduling/dispatching within the trucking/construction industry.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High School diploma, or G.E.D is required.
- Experience with logistics software and data analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong and effective communicator with ability to support management of implementing and adapting to change.
- Excellent leadership skills with ability to lead and motivate others.
- Coach, mentor and challenge staff while promoting continuous improvement.
Compensation:
Dependent on experience and qualifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
