Supports conceptualizing, developing and delivering innovative on-target solutions for design projects for Gallo’s in-house creative department. Projects to include some or all of the following areas: packaging, point-of-sale, digital assets, marketing collateral, photo/video concepting, and other creative executions, with a specific focus on brand development and packaging design across formats. Must be willing to work specific days in-office to perform in-person duties, and must submit design portfolio for consideration (online or .pdf).
Creates package and product designs that drive brand equity and stand out on shelf and online.
What You Will Do:
Executes sketches or designs developed by other team members.
- Contributes concepts to the design team in a clear, concise, and direct manner.
- Participates in the execution of high-quality creative projects that are delivered with a strong attention to detail while maintaining consistently high standards.
- Develops an understanding of design trends and innovation.
- Supports the design team in researching imagery for specific projects.
- Supports the preparation of design presentations for the team including mock-ups, mounting and PowerPoint summaries.
- Plans and lays out final artwork for assigned projects in a clean and organized file format.
- Manages project organization for all project binders; archives design solutions and illustrations.
- Collects, reads, interprets, and uses client briefs to deliver innovative thinking.
- Strives to gain knowledge of innovative technologies/methodologies; puts best practices into action.
- Supports all members of the design team in the completion of design work in order to meet deadlines.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree plus creative design experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associate’s degree/2-year technical degree plus 2 years of creative design experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of creative design experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Skilled in the use of the Macintosh platform, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop at an advanced level; Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office suite at a basic level.
- Required to work extended hours when necessary to support the design team in meeting deadlines.

- Skilled in design composition and typography; strives to exceed expectations.
- Design experience in spirits, beer, beverage or cosmetics industries.
- Skilled in design composition design sketching, and typography.
- Knowledge of printing technologies and methodologies.
- Knowledge of marketing, consumer research and design principals.
- Knowledge of design trends, key competitors and sales channel characteristics.
- Knowledge of strategic brand development, branding and marketing equities.
- Experience managing multiple projects and working well under pressure with little supervision.
- Skilled in identifying color variances.
