Summary:
Supports operations to foster a culture of continuous improvement through the development and implementation of the Gallo Production System (GPS) and enables sustainable business results through problem solving and continuous improvement (CI) strategies in collaboration with cross functional leaders internal and external to the operation.
The Gallo Production System (GPS) is a framework that supports the philosophy and the culture of the way Gallo works using Lean Principles. The framework provides guiding principles, knowledge and tools to develop and implement purpose, value stream, metrics, standard work, visual management, 5S, open culture, Gemba, and Kaizen to any given operation.
What You Will Do:
- Partners with senior leaders, providing support, tools and training to effectively drive LSS Core Programs for their Business Unit/Shared Services Unit or program including:
- LSS Core Training, Lean Journeys and Gallo Production Systems training.
- Provides communication of LSS Core Program goals, strategy and status within the program team and with program stakeholders, including senior management.
- Deploying metrics and process management to hold LSS Core Program gains, pursue data-driven daily management, and to call out opportunities for improvement.
- Developing change management plans for LSS Programs and/or change initiatives.
- Define the LSS Core Programs' implementation strategies for continuous improvement across the organization.
- Serves as an expert counsel for cross-functional, multi-discipline and interdepartmental process improvements within LSS Core Programs.
- Leads internal and external resources to develop and deliver LSS training, champions in the application of Continuous Improvement methodologies initiatives.
- Leads and executes CI/SI projects by engaging with senior leaders across the enterprise and develops actionable recommendations to drive business impact improvements.
- Manages cross-functional, high performance teams in discovery process of business opportunities, understanding and defining customer critical requirements, and developing solutions control plans to sustain gains.
- Reviews and helps develop project charters or A3’s; understands and dissects economic and strategic alignment.
- Provides communication of LSS Core Program goals, strategy and status within the project team and with project stakeholders, including senior management
- Ensures achievement of goals, objectives, and timelines of projects and programs.
- Coaches team members on using Lean Six Sigma methodology and applying good project management skills.
- Leads internal and external resources to develop and deliver LSS training; champions in the application of Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Develops Lean Six Sigma training modules, with input from Deployment Champion and Master Black Belts.
- Works with Deployment Champion and Master Black Belts to implement continuous improvement activities within the Lean Six Sigma group.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
What You Need:
- Master's degree plus 6 years of end-to-end project management, engineering, production/operations, supply chain management, winemaking, finance, human resources, IT, sales, marketing or B2B customer service experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of end-to-end project management experience engineering, production/operations, supply chain management, winemaking, finance, human resources, IT, sales, marketing or B2B customer service experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate, plus 12 years of work experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Management Experience.
- Green Belt Certification
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience working with all levels and functions within the Company.
- Experience reading and interpreting documents such as corporate policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
What Will Set You Apart:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 10 years of engineering, production, operations, supply chain management, winemaking, end to end project management, finance, or customer service experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Master of Business Administration degree or Master's degree in Engineering
- Completed Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training, or higher.
- E. & J. Gallo Winery experience.
- Experience with systems implementations that support employees across the organization.
- Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Experience speaking effectively before groups and effectively presenting information to customers, employees or management within an organization.
- Skilled in commanding the attention and presenting information to various groups of employees and vendors; including executive level personnel.
- Experience responding effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Experience engaging, inspiring, and influencing people.
