Position Summary
Responsible for providing exemplary guest service by maintaining the accuracy and upkeep of all data contained in the HRIS systems and personnel records. Serves as a technical point-of-contact for the Human Resources Department ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement.
Essential Functions
- Provides exemplary customer service for all internal and external Human Resources guests and team members.
- Works with the Human Resources Manager and Director to analyze work process design and flow to improve processes for the Human Resources Department.
- Documents work flow processes and procedures and maintains any updates and changes to such processes and procedures.
- Assists with long-term planning, builds project plans and ensures adherence to project schedules.
- Represents the Human Resources Department by being an active participant on Chinook Winds Casino Resort project teams, assisting other subject matter experts.
- Supports HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
- Become the contact and expert for all HRIS Systems and/or modules of such systems.
- Coordinates access and equipment needs for new members to the Human Resources Department.
- Trains new Human Resources members on how to use Chinook Winds Casino Resort general computer, phone, office equipment and HRIS systems.
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support and applying key technologies.
- Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques.
- Participates in User Group Meetings/online trainings.
- Inputs HRIS data and reviews output for accuracy; performs administrative tasks in support of HRIS.
- Generates standard reports and is the report writing expert for the Human Resources Department and/or the Chinook Winds Management Team.
- Maintains the active and terminated electronic personnel filing, organizes, manages and maintains the HR Drive.
- Creates, updates and purges personnel and department files, forms and records according to retention guidelines.
- Maintains the Human Resources email accounts.
- Creates and maintains a Human Resources shared calendar and coordinates the communication of HR Events to be placed in the Tillicums (company newsletter).
- Greets and directs guests in a professional, friendly, hospital manner.
- Assists in ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards
- Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs and services.
- Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
- All other duties as assigned.

Education
High school diploma or GED
Two-year college degree with emphasis in technical studies preferred
Experience
Two years’ clerical of office administration experience
One year Human Resources experience
Two years’ experience operating a computer in a networked environment and data input functions
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office Intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Access preferred
HRIS database maintenance experience preferred
Certificates & Licenses
PHR certified preferred
Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License
Other Requirements
Knowledge of Human Resources functions preferred

Work Environment
Work will take place in a small office environment with occasional exposure to a busy resort and gaming environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quite to moderate.
Working Conditions
Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180 day introductory period.
