Shift: Day 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Monday through Friday
Job description: Endocrinologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of glands, hormones, and metabolism disorders. Some common endocrine problems can include diabetes, type 1 and type 2, thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, bone metabolism and growth issues, and other glandular disorders. Our endocrinologists are all board-certified and strive to bring the patient the best treatment approaches based on up-to-date guidelines, medications, and research. They work across all age groups. This nurse is responsible for rooming patients, taking vital signs, medication reconciliation, downloading and reading glucose meters, giving occasional injections, placing orders in EPIC, and helping with medication authorizations. Chart prep prior to clinic. Basket work that includes; medication refill, calling results and scheduling. Handling patient calls and addressing with the providers accordingly. Education on insulin administration and use of insulin pumps. This team is made up of 2 Physicians and 3 Advance Practice Providers, 1 Pediatric Endocrinologist, Diabetic Educators and Registered Dietitians.
