- Bags groceries properly and to customers’ satisfaction.
- Loads customer’s vehicle promptly, carefully and neatly.

- Follows security procedures.
- Fills the shelves and rotate items if necessary.
- Picks up floor, clears carts, cleans and stocks registers, fills bag stations.
- Brings in carts from the parking lot.
- Performs night maintenance duties as directed.
- Verifies information on check and if acceptable, enters and properly tenders check into register system.
- Properly handles, counts and enters food stamps, EBT into register system.
- Ensures coupons are valid and properly entered.
- Maintains a neat and organized till.
- Adheres to company policies on the handling and sales of liquor and tobacco.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by manager.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to treat each customer with respect and in a friendly manner. Ability to bag groceries properly.
- Ability to accurately count back change.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed and scheduled. Patience skills in dealing with customers and other individuals. Knowledge of store layout.
- Ability to handle required lifting duties.
- Ability and willingness to smile and carry a casual conversation with customers.
Education and Experience: No prior experience or training.
Work Environment
The associate is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to weather conditions.
