The Role in Brief:
Managing Director, Strategy & Operations
Commercial Strategy & Operations is seeking a Managing Director (or Senior Director) with strong leadership, analytical and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have significant professional experience enabling cross-functional teams to succeed through strategic and analytical thinking, planning and action.
The Managing Director will be a leader on the team dedicated to advancing the EAB’s commercial (sales and account management) team’s execution against strategic initiatives and growth objectives. The successful candidate for this position will have outstanding analytical skills, service ethic, and be comfortable tackling complex problems by applying a scalable strategic framework.
As the position will operate with a great deal of autonomy, the Managing Director position requires exceptional project management and planning skills, and a proven track record of accountability. The Managing Director must set their own deadlines and milestones for projects to ensure that work is completed in the expected time frame.
This role may be based in Washington, D.C. or Richmond, VA. EAB embraces a hybrid work environment moving forward and candidates who would be based remotely or in other EAB office locations are also welcomed to apply.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Managing Director will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day business of the group, including:
- Partnering with the commercial, sales, and account management leadership teams to identify areas of opportunity and recommending action plans to capture those opportunities
- Leading analysis to monitor business health, strategize towards business goals and identify opportunities to inflect performance
- Using internal and external analytics tools and SQL to access and analyze data
- Translating complex data into actionable insights, identify areas of optimization and growth
- Communicating insights from actionable data to align sales and account management teams' behaviors with business objectives
- Executing on key strategic and operational projects to support revenue growth
- Leading, participating in and supporting cross-functional initiatives to optimize commercial org efficiency
- Assisting in developing and implementing strategic sales plans, including resource allocation, budgeting and forecasting
- Collaborating with a team of analysts to monitor, analyze and communicate business trends and performance of key business metrics
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10 years’ relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated analytical reasoning or quantitative analysis skills
- Experience with SQL
- Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and cross-functional teams
- Ability to formulate and deliver clearly complex information, issues and recommendations in both written and oral presentation to senior management
- Partner service ethic
- Discretion in handling sensitive firm, department and individual performance information
Ideal Qualifications:
- 12 years’ relevant professional experience
- 4 years’ experience with SQL
- Proven experience with manipulating data and leveraging to tell compelling value story to drive sales
