Position:  Aviation Civil Engineer  

Salary Range: $60.00 hr - $75.00 hr

EAC Consulting is looking for a Aviation Civil Engineer for an aviation project.

Individuals with over 5 years of experience in the management of large, complex, multi - package construction projects.  Responsible for the overall management of assigned projects(s) and coordination of the A/E Consults of Record and the Contractor.  Registration as Architect or Engineer is desirable, but not required. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Technical knowledge of civil engineering and design standards. 
• Progressively increasing knowledge and understanding of the project development process, including site planning and site engineering. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Proven presentation skills are required.
• Progressively increasing ability to serve as a technical specialist in civil engineering for various assignments and tasks.  
• Progressively increasing ability to demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgement in anticipating and solving unpredictable engineering problems.  
• Progressively increasing ability to manage project budget and schedule.  
• Progressively increasing ability to lead and direct a team of engineers and subconsultants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs and directs others in accordance with the Company’s policies and to the satisfaction of the client’s requirements. 
• Coordinates all aspects of the project to ensure an effective design that meets the needs of the stakeholders.  
• Assures that project team complies with the contract agreement as well as exercises rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.
• Identifies causes for revisions to projects and whether such changes are billable to the client.
• Responsible for contract and scope management

EXPERIENCE:

• Typically five (5) years’ post registration experience.  

EDUCATION: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or related field.  
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
