Lighting Designer
POSITION SUMMARY
Leads the creative design and execution of lighting for weekend service, special events and Student Ministries at scheduled campuses. Supports the Technology team in maintenance on all lighting systems at scheduled campuses. Assists in the development and training of lighting volunteers. Reports to the Lead Lighting Designer.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Programs and designs lighting for all weekend services, special events, and Student Ministries in a way that inspires people to engage with Jesus
Aligns with the vision for all services as lead and directed by the Production Director
Responsible for lighting console programming, operation, and execution
Collaborates with Stage Design team and serves as project manager at scheduled campuses during Stage Design installs
Collaborates with other Production staff around the preparation and planning process for services and events at scheduled campuses
Assists the Campus Production Managers/Campus Producers in development of lighting volunteers
Supports the Technology team on campus expansion, system maintenance, and projects
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree, technical school degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Minimum 2 years working in a music, live production, creative, or church environment required
Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook’s nine core beliefs
Understanding of current professional lighting technology including GrandMA series consoles, entertainment rigging, power distribution, and network systems
Knowledge and ability to operate technical gear including conventional fixtures, moving fixtures, basic electrical equipment, and other lighting equipment
Self-motivated, able to work independently, high energy, strong work ethic, and follow through
WORK SCHEDULE
Generally, Wednesday - Sunday. Must be available Wednesday nights for Student Ministries and occasional evenings for events. Expected to work 45 weekends/year.
