CNC Mill Programmer

Job title: CNC Mill Programmer

Reports to: Shop Foreman

Summary/objective: Eagle Industrial Group (EIG) is looking for a CNC Mill Programmer to add to their day-shift and night-shift team! The employee will work on a wide array of parts for various industries using new equipment and technology. Additionally, the employee will be able to choose from Work NC or Esprit programming software based on preference and previous experience.

Note: Night-shift positions offer a 4-day workweek and a significant night-shift premium

Essential functions: 

• Program parts for DMG, Mazak, and Okuma late model machines (3 to 5 axis)
• Setup and machine parts to data and prints provided
• Check setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain appropriate tools and inspection equipment 
• Keep work area clean 
• Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management 
• Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours 
• Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required 

• At least 2 years of experience programming and operating CNC mills 
• A well-rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds 
• Candidate must have high school or equivalent education 
• Candidate must have valid driver’s license 

• Ability to read prints 
• Knowledge and understanding of GD&T 

• Candidate must have full use of all limbs. 
• Candidate must be able to read and speak English. 
• Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds. 

Position type and expected hours of work: Full time. Day shift: 48 to 50 hours/week. Night shift: 46 hours/week.

Travel: None.
