Summary
The Inventory Data Management Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and governance of parts and supplies master data for Eagle Materials. This role will bring visibility to parts and supply inventory across plants, optimizing operations and procurement for new items. This position will manage the inventory data management process, assist in data transition from legacy systems to Oracle Cloud, conduct ongoing data maintenance, and continuously evaluate the item data management processes to improve accuracy and data quality. The ideal candidate will have experience using data analysis and reporting tools to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. This role requires collaboration with operations, procurement, and finance to identify creative solutions.
Position Responsibilities
Collect, store, and maintain accurate item information in a central repository.
Develop and enforce data quality standards and governance policies to ensure that item data remains accurate, complete, and consistent across the organization. Identify and implement data quality improvement processes.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data management processes, procedures, and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their master data requirements.
Facilitate the seamless integration of item master data into the Oracle Cloud ERP system as part of Eagle Materials’ ERP-enabled transformation program.
Ensure data accuracy, mapping, and transformation during the migration process and participate in data cleansing, data conversion, validation, reconciliation, and any other activities identified.
Implement access controls and security measures to safeguard sensitive item data from unauthorized access or modifications.
Provide training to end users and stakeholders on data management best practices, tools, and processes.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices in item master data management.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
3 years of experience in data management, preferably in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Experience with Oracle ERP systems, especially Oracle Cloud ERP, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality, and data governance best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with data mining and reporting tools, such as SQL, Python, JAVA, PowerBI and/or Tableau.
Familiarity with data migration and integration processes.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to adapt to changing data requirements, software tools, and technology.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
