Description
SUMMARY
The Cage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all of the day-to-day activities within the Cage during an assigned shift.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs all Cage personnel during their assigned shift.
- Ensures policies and procedures are applied consistently, equitably and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensures that a maximum level of service, satisfaction and respect in the Cage is maintained.
- Adds to a positive atmosphere and works to continuously boost morale.
- Verifies all vault reconciliation forms for accuracy.
- Verifies daily drop and prepares bank deposit.
- Maintains inventory of all forms/supplies necessary for day-to-day operations.
- Monitors breaks and lunches for all cage personnel.
- Responsible for assigning appropriate coverage in all positions in the cage and on the floor.
- Ability to assume Casino Cashier or vault duties when necessary.
- Works closely with other departments to provide the best customer service and customer tracking.
- Facilitates the flow of information, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with departmental employees as needed.
- Reports information regarding attendance, variances, deductions, disciplinaries, and personnel issues to Cage Management.
- Held accountable, to a very high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.
- Performs all other departmental duties assigned by Cage Management.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum age requirement is 21.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of two years cash handling in banking or gaming operations.
- Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Must be extremely number oriented.
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one or group situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Gaming License through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk and hear.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for entire shift.
- Noise level is moderate to high on the casino floor.
- Exposed daily to flashing lights, ringing bells and smoke.
- Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
