Position Details:
Title: High School Math Teacher- Full Time
Location: Eagle Point High School
Supervisor: Principal or designee
Contract Days: 194 days/8 hr per day to begin August 2024
Salary Range: $45,635 - $89,065 plus master's stipend of $2,282 (depending upon previous experience and graduate level credits)
Position Closing Date: Open until filled, screening to begin asap
Description:
This position requires an Oregon teaching license with an endorsement in Foundational Mathematics or the ability to obtain same license prior to the start date. Actual classes taught will be decided based on specific areas of expertise as well as areas of need. The teacher must be familiar with Standards Based Teaching and Learning instructional practices including differentiation and reteaching methods.The position requires the ability to analyze data to inform the instruction to a whole class and individual learning. The teacher must possess the ability to scaffold rigorous lessons that are engaging to all learners. Opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities or athletics as a coach / advisor may also be considered. Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply.
The ideal applicant will have demonstrated content knowledge and pedagogic skill relative to Mathematics. A desire to collaborate with other educators, as well as the ability to maintain and adapt existing curricula to meet the ever changing needs of our students is required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using a variety of pedagogical and assessment tools, have a passion for educating ALL STUDENTS, and a willingness to be involved in the school community beyond the classroom setting.
