What You Will Do as a Restorative RN

As a Stonerise Restorative RN, you will provide direct nursing care to acutely and/or chronically ill patients through individualized care plans. You will perform complex professional and technical skills such as assessment, education, crisis Some of your primary responsibilities include:
- Performing initial patient assessments
- Identifying patient’s physical and psychological needs
- Assessing patient’s response to medications and/or treatments
- Organizing patient care assignments to meet needs, including deployment of assigned team members
- Maintaining an integrated approach toward patient outcomes through restorative nursing programs
- Gathering and documenting on patients’ data for restorative therapeutic purposes
- Monitoring and tracking changes in patients under restorative nursing care
- Initiating and implementing group and individualized restorative nursing programs
- Administering medications accurately and safely
- Observing and teaching aides in care of patients for safety and total patient care
- Practicing good restorative nursing such as prevention and treatment of decubitus ulcers and infection, prevention of the spread of infection, insertion of gastrostomy feeding tubes, tracheostomy care, administration of oxygen, removal of sutures and wire clamps, etc.
