Overall Purpose Under direct supervision, supports the development, testing and maintenance of software/applications that support the technology product pillars. Collaborates with other Product Engineers to gain exposure in design concepts and newer technologies. Essential Functions  Assists with basic developing, testing and documenting DevSecOps security strategy and help build secure-by-default CI/CD pipelines and processes Assists in the identification, measurement, of controls and documents security risks to information systems across a broad range of application security disciplines and topics. Collaborates with product development and security architecture to ensure that all newly developed and legacy applications and control implementations are in line with security policy and are compliance to the required frameworks (ISO, PCI, OWASP, NIST 800-53, etc.). Work with Product Security architecture to perform security analysis on all internally developed services and assists with reference implementation of security controls Expands and develops knowledge with exposure to current and upcoming implementations of automated security automated scans Participates on work teams, contributes to projects and initiatives, and performs various tasks as needed by the assigned unit/department. Works as a member of a team providing service to internal teams and troubleshoots basic issues. Escalates more complex issues to Sr. Product Security Engineers. Supports the development life cycle including requirements analysis and design Supports and documents software functionality. Participates in developing, documenting, testing, and debugging new and existing build and deployment pipelines that support DevSecOps and Product Security initiatives. Proactively monitors health of environment. Participates in and follow change management processes. Supports Sr. Software Engineers to evaluate new technologies for implementation. Supports the company’s commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or specialized training/certification or equivalent combined work experience, education, and training. A minimum of 3 months Data, software engineering or related work/ intern/ course experience is required Proven technical and analytical skills Demonstrated business acumen with knowledge and understanding of business issues, priorities, goals, and strategy is necessary. Ability to identify basic to moderately complex problems, review information to develop and evaluate options then implement solutions is essential. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Highly engaged, self-starter with ability to balance achieving results and fostering collaboration. Solid understanding of an iterative software development process Working knowledge of Python. Java (or C ) lKnowledge of one of the cloud infrastructure providers – AWS, GCP and Azurel Must be US Citizen or US National only. Background and drug screen. Preferred Qualifications Additional related education and/or intern experience preferred Academic knowledge or Software development experience in one of the programming or scripting languages – Python, Java, C Knowledge of one or more of the tools – Git, Gitlab, Github, Containerization, and orchestration (Terraform, Docker & Kubernetes) Experience implementing application solutions/ services of DevSecOps tools like Gitlab, Harness and container security Demonstrated understanding of application security concepts and OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities.
