What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Media Strategist position at Earth Day Network?
Job Description:
As EDO’s Earth Day Digital Media Associate, principal duties include:
- Day-to-day support of EARTHDAY.ORG’s social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn with unique voices and engagement tailored for each.
- Develop annual/monthly content and campaign strategy around specific events/monthly themes, writing and content creation, including social media share graphics, video ideation and creation, event photography, and other shareable content to support and complement the priorities of EDO’s strategic communications and editorial calendar.
- Analyze data related to digital media campaigns, suggest changes/improvement/new approaches to engage and grow EDO’s digital presence.
- Responsible for executing all paid media campaigns across digital media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Partner engagement and management – Engagement in partner digital events and activations to grow the network and establish strategic partnership opportunities with partner organizations around the world
- Maintain social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand
- Analyze the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identify strategic weaknesses and make recommendations for improvements
- Research social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities
- Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs
- Live event coverage on social media, as needed
- Work with communications team on a day-to-day basis to develop overall strategy that will contribute to improving the environment, including demonstrating the ability to work individually and as a team player.
Other Duties will include:
- Daily updates to the EDO site to provide content in a clear, consistent, and dynamic way to maximize user experience and engagement
- Help produce Earth Day live webinar series that are generally hosted one to two times a month.
- Staff writing
- Special events content creation.
- Support other staff members (campaign managers) with any content creation needed
