We are seeking a QA Specialist specializing in soil science and lab data analysis, to join our growing Product Delivery team. This position will help check the quality of our product, Machine Learning assisted soil attribute maps, before delivering them to our customers.
Day in the Life…
As a QA Specialist you will support the QA Lead and team to ensure that:
- Field sensor data has been collected correctly and archived electronically in the proper format;
- Field samples have been collected and shipped correctly;
- Lab analysis data has been completed and distributed in a proper format; and
- All sensing and sampling protocols are being followed per the customer contract.
You will also work directly with an assigned Program Manager, Data Scientist, and associated field operations crews. You will check data quality and integrity prior to engaging with the engineering team and track the product delivery process up until it is sent to the customer. In addition, you will work with the Program Manager to verify that customer field map products have gone through the quality assurance process and issue production tickets for any maps that do not meet quality standards.

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Work Location: Remote - This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in the US.
Travel: Travel may be required, approximately 5% of the time
Compensation: The budgeted range starts at $60,900-$87,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on candidate's experience and location.
What your responsibilities will be:
- Verify and analyze data input from disparate systems
- Perform reconciliation and quality assurance of client data through the use of analytical and audit procedures to ensure data integrity
- Acquire and retrieve data as necessary and provide for timely updates
- Work closely with QA Lead and Program Managers to track progress, provide timely updates, review data points, and support customer needs
- Work with Product Delivery team to make sure customer data meets specifications
- Identify, record, and track non-conformances to make recommendations to resolve non-conformances and prevent them in the future
- Identify and communicate continuous improvement processes and approaches
- Other duties as assigned
What we are looking for:
- Associate’s degree or related experience in any STEM field or equivalent relevant professional experience
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred in soil science and lab management, but not required
- Experience in quality assurance and data management processes
- Database and spreadsheet information capture, management, and use
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in Google Suites
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
