Come join our team! An award-winning landscape design, installation and maintenance company, Earthworks, Inc. has an opportunity available for an experienced *bilingual Irrigation Technician Supervisor to lead our irrigation team at our Houston facility.
Previous irrigation experience is required for this position. Complete knowledge of backflows, smart controllers, water pressure, volume and head spacing are essential. Weathermathic system knowledge is a plus.
Irrigation Technician will be assisting with the dispatch of irrigation crews, conducting repairs and training new team members when needed as well as helping improve morale/teamwork for field staff.
Responsibilities:
- Effective client communication and care. Managing the activation and winterization of irrigation systems. Conduct irrigation repairs and electrical troubleshooting when needed.
- Ability to stay current on irrigation technologies.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a must.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Requires strenuous physical work; heave lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
Requirements:
A valid driver's license will be required.
Irrigation License, preferred but not required.
A minimum of 2 years of Irrigation and Management experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
