Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The mission of Facilities Services is to maintain an aesthetically pleasing campus environment that is conducive to teaching, learning, and research. Facilities Services is responsible for the facilities support of all University real property including repair planning, minor renovation and construction, utilities, maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping. Facilities Services is part of Administration and Finance and falls under the responsibility of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Campus Operations who reports to the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance |
Job Duties | Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, and materials for special events. The position will be expected to work as an integral part of the moving services team and should be able to interact with staff, faculty, and students. Good physical condition and having the ability to perform strenuous manual labor for extended periods of time are important to the role. Some overtime will be required. |
Minimum Education/Experience | Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification. |
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation | |
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education | Experience in moving and driving a large box van/moving truck. |
License or Certification Required by the Department | Candidates should possess a valid NC driver license and be eligible to operate a state-owned vehicle in accordance with the ECU property policy. |
