What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll - Assistant Treasurer position at East Central Ohio Educational Service Center?
The East Central Ohio ESC is seeking a qualified Assistant Treasurer to manage payroll and assist with accounting processes. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience using or willingness to learn Uniform School Accounting Software - USPS & USAS modules
- Experience or willingness to learn governmental fund accounting
- Knowledge of GAAP reporting, employment contracts, payroll tax reporting, purchase order process, invoicing procedures, and inventory management
- Proficient with Microsoft EXCEL & Word
- Ability to maintain accurate and complete records and work in a TEAM environment
- Must work well in collaboration with others and be able to dedicate the time to this position to ensure all deadlines are met
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- College coursework in accounting or related field is preferred, but not required
Contract:
- 260 Day contract with benefits (includes paid holidays, vacation & sick leave)
