Position Title: Housekeeper
Overview: The Housekeeper is responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of resident apartments, restrooms, commons areas and offices throughout the community.
- Greet residents and announce presence prior entering residence.
- Requires cleaning and dusting of various surfaces (examples include, but are not limited to: counter tops; furniture; appliances; tile floors).
- Clean, scrub, and sanitize bathrooms.
- Gather and dispose of trash using specified bags and/or containers.
- Responsible for keeping storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and organized.
- Vacuum carpet in apartments and assigned common areas.
- Responsible for changing resident bed and bath linens according to assigned cleaning schedule.
- Assist in the main laundry room and other areas of the community when needed.
- Deliver resident’s personal laundry as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident/family and community information.
- Provide quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and staff.
You Have:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred, may be working toward high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in commercial cleaning operations, preferably in a hospital or nursing home is desirable but not required.
