East West Staffing, Inc. (EWS) is currently seeking an experienced Central Office Installer. The primary responsibilities of the Central Office Installer will be for the installation of equipment used in voice, video, fiber optics and data telecommunications networks. Analyze, plan, layout and assign installation activity to other installation personnel. Act as subject matter expert on provisioning, activating, and testing electronic equipment.
Requirements of the Central Office Installer
- Perform all work with safety in mind and ensure that all safety measures are met
- Demonstrated knowledge of TP76300 or similar installation standards
- Ciena, Cisco, Fujitsu or other OEM equipment experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written customer facing skills
- Computer skills to include MS Office experience
- Experience with complying with all customer standards, paperwork and job completion forms
- Be capable of performing as the Installation supervisor in-charge person
- Ability to work on ladders up to 15ft., demonstrated manual dexterity, and lift and carry loads up to 40 lbs.
- Must have valid Drivers License

Responsibilities of the Central Office Installer
- On-site analysis of job drawings and specifications to resolve any issues prior to job start
- Understanding of SMOP’s and DMOP’s for the project
- Participate in all internal and external quality audits
- Executes the essential duties and responsibilities of an Installer III, plus provide work instruction to Level I, II, and III Installers.
- May perform as the installation in-charge person
- Performs additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits. Work operations/job activities may include:
- Circuit modifications, Software additions or upgrades, Power transition work
- Performs power verification and power up equipment.
- Function as the POC for support groups such as engineering, material assignment etc.
- Maintain a professional orientation, ensuring quality and outstanding customer service
- Install, test, and turn up equipment, as specified in engineering instructions and drawings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
