Veterinary Receptionist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries in a professional manner
- Collect and update client information in the system accurately
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for patients
- Process payments and handle financial transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Provide basic information about veterinary services and procedures
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Experience:
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of pet care, animal handling, and veterinary critical care is a plus
- Familiarity with dog handling, dog training, kennel operations, pet grooming, or medical collections is beneficial
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills for managing appointments and client records

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.76 - $14.54 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
